Monday, February 12, 2018Dear Betty and Family I am very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He surely will be missed. Having worked with Dave at the City of Regina some 40 years ago, I had nothing but admiration for him, his approach to life and his treatment of everyone that he came in contact with. Although he was diminutive in size he made up for it in the huge amount of respect that he commanded just by being himself and doing and saying the right thing. If I had to choose one person, other than my father, who had the greatest positive influence on my life it would most certainly be Dave. In fact I've tried to emulate him for the past 47 years. Your family has got to be very proud of his legacy. Thank you Jeff, for bring your parents on that road trip through Melville, making it possible for me to reconnect with your dad, that was awesome. Thank you Betty, for your hospitality, the coffee and of course that memorable visit with Dave at the kitchen table, I will cherish that time always. Our sincerest sympathies to you all. Merv and Ingrid Appel

Monday, February 12, 2018Condolences; To the Betteridge families; I am sorry to hear of Dave's passing, I knew Dave well when I also worked for the City of Regina, some 58 years ago,I was a grader man, & Dave worked in the stoke room at the time, I've known Dave to be a perfect gentleman. I'm sure Dave is in a better place up there, right now. 58 to 60 years ago shows that I'm still interested in people I worked with at that time. Howard Sali.

Saturday, February 10, 2018So sorry to read of Dave’s passing. I dealt with Dave at the City of Regina for many years, and found him to be a sincere, respectful and kind friend. Always a smile and a sincere caring for my personal life. I encountered Dave many times after his retirement from his City job, and it was always as if we saw each other the day before. Catching up on old times and a true interest in the future, I will truly miss Dave. Rest in piece my friend.
