Obituary of Shirley Mae Purves

PURVES, Shirley Mae. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother and grandmother, Shirley Mae Purves, age 78 years on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at the Pasqua Hospital. Shirley leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters, Debbie (George) Zlatarits of Regina, Sandra Purves of White Rock, Sharon (Steven) Bednash of Cloverdale; one grandson Jason Zlatarits (Regina); three granddaughters Jaime Zlatarits of Russell, Toni Cormier of White Rock and Sarah Bednash of Cloverdale; two sisters Mayleen Scott of Victoria, Maizie Therens of Moose Jaw; sisters-in-law Doris (Bill) Bee of Calgary, Irene Galbraith of Regina, Mona Galbraith of Milestone, Mary Purves of Regina; brother-in-law Stan (Amy) Purves of Calgary; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many other family and friends. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Alan, parents Agnes and Leslie Galbraith; three brothers Morley, George and Barney Galbraith; brothers-in-law Orval and Morris Purves, Puggy Scott, Clarence Therens; sister-in-law Mona Purves. The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at the Pasqua Emergency Unit. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina with Pastor Bob Leeson officiating.
