SUDOM - Paul died peacefully in the Coteau Range Manor, Avonlea, Saskatchewan on January 6, 2006. Predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Anna; brother Emil; sisters, Lena Collins and Esther Bezeau, Paul is survived by his loving wife, of sixty-three years, Sybil, and their four sons, Paul (Kathleen) of Moose Jaw, SK, Dale (Kathleen) of Paradise, NF, Blaine (Larraine) of Avonlea, SK and Michael (Gina) of Avonlea; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; brother Wilbert (Byrdyne) of Regina, SK; sister Irene (Glen) Manchee of Edmonton, AB; sister-in-law Anna Sudom of Regina, SK; nieces and nephews. Paul was born and raised in the Avonlea District. He attended Sanderson School and Regina College. In 1942 he married Sybil Bell of Avonlea. In 1946 they purchased their home farm, seven miles east of Avonlea, where he farmed until his retirement. In 1965 they built their present home in Avonlea. Paul was a member of the Avonlea United Church, a Mason for over fifty years, and a proud member of the church choir. Paul loved to travel, golf and exercise, he could be seen walking two miles per day well into his 88th year. Pauls family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff and volunteers at the Coteau Range Manor for their care and compassion over the past four years. A Funeral Service to celebrate Pauls life will be held at the Avonlea United Church, Avonlea, SK on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Alton officiating. Interment to follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Sk. , 2360 -2nd Ave. , Regina, Sk. S4R-1A6 .
